- Starting June 2001, Mason Tillman Associates, Ltd., will be conducting
a disparity study for the Dallas Independent School District (District).
The purpose of the study is to determine whether the District meets
the Croson requirements of race and gender-conscious government
contracting and procurement through exploring whether the District has
been either an active or a passive participant in a discriminatory marketplace.
Rincon &
Associates, a local Hispanic owned business, will assist Mason Tillman
with collecting data and convening community meetings. Mason Tillman
will also conduct 40 in-depth anecdotal interviews that are reflective
of the businesses’ experience in the District’s market area.
